Stop the Music

A new EP by Sammy Adams was recently released and I just had the chance to listen to it.  It's called Homecoming and sounds similar yet more mature than his previous albums...not that his previous albums sounded immature.

The EP is just $4.99 (plus tax) on iTunes and features six brand new tracks...which are all explicit so I don't recommend it for children under the age of 17.

The genre, of course, is rap, but they don't sound like songs from a new Lil Wayne album.  No, no, no.  The songs sound the way Sammy Adams has always sounded, trust me.  My favorite one is called "Stop the Music" which is the first track on the EP and really does not sound like rap at all.  Here's the tune:

Sammy Adams is currently on tour with Timeflies and their final show is tomorrow night in Detroit.  If you would like to find out more about Sammy, you can go here!

We Own It (Fast & Furious)

"We Own It (Fast & Furious)" is a song that was originally recorded by 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa.  I know I do not like rap but I love a remix done of this.

Mike Posner, the guy who sings "Cooler Than Me" and features in "L.A. Story" by Sammy Adams, got together with Niykee Heaton, T. Mills, and Sammy Adams to recreate this song.  I think I first watched the video just because Sammy Adams was in it but I ended up really liking the tune!

Now, the interesting part is the lyrics were changed, hence why it is a remix!  Here's the video:

Sammy Adams to my collection

I purchased four of Sammy Adams' mixtapes on eBay on Tuesday and I received them in the mail yesterday.  I absolutely love them!  The four CDs are OK Cool which is a pre-album to his upcoming album I Wish, Into The Wild, Party Records, and Boston's Opening Day.

The genre for the mixtapes is rap, which I know I have spoken about before but I think Sammy Adams is amazing and really cute so I have brought myself to listen to it.  While the majority of the songs are actually rap, he has a couple of remixes on the tapes.  He did a remix of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" on Boston's Opening Day and "No Speak Americano" with the original artist Yolanda Be Cool on Party RecordsParty Records has DJs DJ Whoo Kid and DJ J. Cash, Into The Wild has DJ Jayceeoh, and OK Cool has DJ Jayceeoh and Clinton Sparks.

The collection I bought contains several different producers on each of them like Deadmau5.  I would list all of the songs and producers/DJs for each song but that would be an extremely long list - 54 to be exact.  I would never make you sit through that.

What I've always wanted to do

Something I have always wanted to do is have VIP backstage passes to a concert.  I want to hang backstage and meet a singer or band that I absolutely love!  I have been thinking about that a lot lately and the more I think about it, the more I want it to happen.

Another thing I have always wanted to do is perform at a big event or cool venue like Six Flags, Bamboozle, or even Madison Square Garden, which I know is taking it a little too far.

At the moment, I'm really itching to meet one of my favorite singers Sammy Adams.  I talked a little bit about him last week and have ever since been dying to meet him.  I think he is beyond cool and I am obsessed with his music!

I know I may sound like I am dreaming too big, but going to a music award show like the VMAs or the GRAMMYs is a huge dream of mine.  I don't even necessarily want to be nominated for anything.  I just want to be able to walk on the red carpet, meet my favorite people, and sit with all of them while watching the award show right in front of me.

All Night Longer

WARNING:  This song is explicit!  Viewer discretion is advised.

Sammy Adams is an American rapper from Massachusetts.  He released one album 'Boston's Boy' in 2010 and plans to release another one sometime this year with singles like "L.A. Story (Feat. Mike Posner)" and "All Night Longer" which is provided below.
Like Jonathon Waterman from my post yesterday, I found out about this 25-year-old on Instagram.  I searched for his music on iTunes and immediately fell in love with this song.  Listening to it makes me want to go out and party.  The music video is very creative, too.  Animations have been added to the video which is something I don't see very often.  The song is more hip-hop/rap rather than being only rap, which may be why I like it - rap has never been at the top of my list.  Although I really like Sammy's music and do think he is someone you should at least try listening to.
If you are under 17 years of age, I recommend you do not watch/listen to this song.  It contains explicit language and talks about partying - it reminds me of a rated-R movie.
