Summertime, Summertime

This 1958 tune was originally recorded by The Jamies.  The Jamies was an American singing group consisting of five members led by Tom and Serena Jameson.  The two were siblings. 

The song can easily be categorized as being Doo-Wop due to the time period the song was released in and because of their beautiful harmonies. 

The group re-released "Summertime, Summertime" in 1962 but it was not as successful as it was when it was released the first time around.

This song is my anthem for the summertime.  The beginning of every Summer I am sure to listen to it to get me in the mood for the most enjoyed season.
