Disney 2013

In Magic Kingdom, there is a show that has been around since the park's opening in 1971 called "Country Bear Jamboree."  Some of you have seen the Disney movie "The Country Bears" from 2002 which is based off the show in Disney World.  I remember the movie being really bad.  Like really bad.  Even iMDb gave it a bad rating, so it must be really awful to everyone.  Besides the movie being terrible, the show was surprisingly quite entertaining.  I think my family wanted to punch themselves in the face, but then they liked it because I enjoyed it so much.  The songs they performed were very funny and catchy.  The audio-animatronics weren't too bad, either, considering how old the show is.  Alongside the hilarious group of bears, there is a raccoon on the head of a bear and a bison, moose, and deer head on the wall off to the side.  My favorite song would have to be a song sung by the Sun Bonnet Trio called "All the Guys That Turn Me On Turn Me Down" because it's the STORY OF MY LIFE.

While in Magic Kingdom, there was a marching band performing on Main Street U.S.A. about an hour before the 3:00 parade.  Did you know that the most frequently asked question is "What time is the three o'clock parade?"  People are so stupid.  Anyway, hahaha off topic, the marching band was very entertaining.  I couldn't tell you what they were performing because I have the attention span of a squirrel but they were a very talented bunch of adults!

Probably the most famous ride in the Disney parks is "It's a Small World" which was opened in Magic Kingdom in Disney World on the park's grand opening in 1971.  The ride takes you on a boat through several countries with each country singing "It's a Small World" in their language.  From the European countries of Spain and Switzerland, to the Philippines and Polynesia in the South Pacific, this ride has been and always will be very warm and inviting.

That's just a little taste of all the music I experienced last week.  If I spoke about everything I heard we would be here all day and I know you have things to do so I won't go into all of it!  These pictures are all mine so if you use them PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT!  Thanks!

Home

I am home from my amazing trip to Disney World and will be posting things about my trip tomorrow - music things of course!!

For a quick overview, I heard several different genres of music from several different places.  Our resort was the Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, a New Orleans, LA themes resort along, well, the river.  The hotel, the parks, the rides, and the transportation all played classic Disney songs and songs that go well with whatever you were doing.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Today was a day spent at Hollywood Studios in Disney World and went on the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.  The roller coaster has an abnormally large Fender guitar at the entrance to the ride along with eight different Aerosmith songs playing in each train:

  • Nine Lives
  • Love in an Elevator
  • Walk This Way
  • Young Lust
  • F.I.N.E.
  • Back in the Saddle
  • Dude (Looks Like a Lady)
  • Sweet Emotion
Some lyrics to the songs have been changed specifically for the attraction.  For example, "Love in an elevator" became "Love in a roller coaster."  Ha!  I like that.
